R & D in Combinatorial Programs of InterBioScreen is focused on combinatorial chemistry of natural & related compounds.

Whereas until recently synthetic combinatorial programs had been receiving the most attention at companies worldwide, Natural combinatorial chemistry (NCC) is a relatively new but very promising direction for the creation of new drugs.

IBS has created a unique collection of functionalized building blocks for NCC on the basis of natural alkaloids, terpenoids, flavonoids, peptides, glycosides etc. The collection grows steadily and totals several hundred items in amounts from 1 gram to 200 grams each. As a result of the synthetic programs pursued in our laboratories, tens of new functionalized derivatives of natural building blocks are added to the collection on a quarterly basis.
